Gold-filled material is created by bonding a layer (or multiple layers) of gold alloy—specifically 14K gold in our case—to a base metal core. This combination is then drawn down into finer gauges, making it suitable for chain production. Our gold-filled material consists of 1/20th 14K gold, which is why it carries the 14/20 gold-filled designation.
