Yet Another Powerful Reminder: You Don’t Own Your Social Media Accounts!

I’m not a ticky tocker, BUT the TikTok ban is still a huge wake-up call—your social media following isn’t truly yours. Platforms can change, disappear, or restrict access overnight. The one thing you do own? Your email list. It is a lot easier than you think to grow an email list, even as a pop-up only permanent jewelry artist. I know many of us use Square so here’s one easy trick for email collection: 

Step 1: Create an Email Sign-Up Form in Square
1. Log in to your Square Dashboard.
2. Go to Marketing > Create Campaign.
3. Select Collect Emails and create a simple sign-up form.
4. Customize the form with a welcome message and incentive (e.g., % off, exclusive access, giveaway entry).
5. Click Save and copy the link to your sign-up form.

Step 2: Create a QR Code & Sign in Canva using the Square link
1. Generate the code with the Canva QR code maker
2. Create a sign with branding and instructions.
3. Include clear text such as:
    * “Scan to receive exclusive offers!”
    * “Join our VIP list for special perks—scan here!”

Step 3: Display the QR Code at Your Pop-Up
1. Print and place the QR code on table signs, checkout areas, or packaging.
2. Train your team to encourage as many people as possible to scan

This method ensures you easily collect emails and build your list at every event!
